Donald Judd, Furniture Retrospective, 1993
A very rare printing produced for a Donald Judd Furniture Retrospective at Museum Boymans-van Beuningen in Rotterdam, Netherlands, held from April 25 to June 20, 1993, was a significant exhibition that showcased Judd's revolutionary approach to furniture design. Renowned for his minimalist sculptures, Judd applied the same principles to furniture, emphasizing clean lines, geometric forms, and industrial materials. The retrospective presented a comprehensive view of his functional works, highlighting how his furniture designs echoed the simplicity and rigor of his art. This exhibition was crucial in recognizing Judd’s contributions to both art and design, blurring the boundaries between the two disciplines. Only 2750 copies produced.
